Even if the caller was just joking on 9-11-1997, who had the ability to temporarily shut down a telecommunications satellite on 9-11-1997, of all days?
Officially it just happened to go off line on that particular day.
Of course, the #911 & some-other numbers, have had some peculiar synchronicity with people-places-&-things throughout history.
