Interesting that a ship is named after a Navy Commander who has a connection with 9-11-1941.

"From 11 September 1941 he was Commander, Scouting Squadron 71, attached to Wasp (CV-7). Lieutenant Commander Eldridge was killed in action in the Solomons 2 November 1942."

Construction of the Pentagon happened to start on 9-11-1941 & 6 decades later something big happens.
"Workers broke ground for the construction of the American military's future nerve center—the Pentagon—on September 11, 1941."

"Designed by American architect George Bergstrom (1876–1955), and built by general contractor John McShain of Philadelphia, the building was dedicated on January 15, 1943, after ground was broken for construction on September 11, 1941."
